My husband attaches his newest gadget to the airplane window with a small rubber plunger, and people from across the row begin to stare.
remove this little cover to attach the gadget you'd like to charge up
Andrew is a gadget junkie. I thought when we met and later married, I'd have only to deal with his compulsion for increasing his watch collection, but nooooo, I was wrong. About a year ago, before taking our 2007 summer trip to the Bahamas, NY, and Massachusetts, yet another small box arrived in the mail. I'd gotten used to him opening up each new arrival with glee, showing off whatever object to me first, then the neighbors, then every friend who came by for cocktails or coffee or cookies. This particular device, however, sparked MY interest. And as an avid anti-gadget girl, this was a BIG change...
The SOLIO solar charger is about the size of an Ipod in a case, and weighs about the same. It is a brilliant invention (pun intended) used to charge such other electronics as: Cell Phone, iPhone, iPod, MP3 player, Smart Phone, PDA, Game Player, GPS, and Digital Camera.
It can be affixed to car windows, house windows, airplane windows, hotel sliding glass doors, bus windows, and practically any other flat surface that will allow a rubber suction cup to attach on. It does not have to be suctioned on, however, and can also rest simply in a driveway, a patch of sunlight, on the lawn, the beach blanket, or wherever you are with a beam of the sun to spare.
We have personally been able to listen to music, communicate on our cell phones, navigate with the motorcycle's GPS, and take photos ALL without charging any of those items' batteries using electricity or a power outlet.
What a concept! A portable solar charger! I never thought I'd actually say to Andrew, "would you buy ME one?"
