I am very much a flaneur, and firmly believe this is the optimal way to explore a City and get a feel for the local flavor. On my recent visit to Istanbul, I walked the alleys of Galata, Beyoglu, Çukurcuma and Nişantasi. Following are some of my snapshots. I'll let the pictures and brief captions do the talking.
