A woman carries home her groceries as she passes one of the many boldly painted murals, which celebrate ‘La Revolución’ throughout Havana.

We traveled to Cuba expecting decay, deprivation and frustration. Instead, we found beauty, determination and inspiration.

The people we see in Havana all look as if they have a special mission, a vision and a destination, hardly anyone is just ‘hanging out’. We see it in their eyes, their posture, their pace. People seem to blend with their environment. We are fascinated. We walk every day. We take dozens of photographs each morning, each afternoon, each night.

Cuba, we’ll definitely be back. Soon!!
