An annual dance is performed in Mambo-Bafut. I am invited as guests of honour by chief Wankie.

The Grasslands Area of Cameroon is one of the most traditional Areas of Cameroon.
It is situated in the North East of Cameroon.
Every year towards the end of the year a dance is organised to honour the Fon of Mambo Bafut. A fon is a traditional King.
Early in the afternoon preparations for the dance start already. Around sunset the real party starts. Colourfully dressed people dance like their lives depend on it.
The Fon himself gets exited and dances with his people.

After hours of dancing a buffet starts
