The Massai Mara National Park is a virgin area where the thin line between living or dying is just too easy to cross. Animals behave truly free and mankind is just one specie among the others.

About one hour before dusk, the vast territories of the savanna in the Masaai Mara National Park apparently remained in calm. Thick clouds covered the sky but the land didn't get any rain at all, already for a long time.

Massai Mara National Park is the most important one in Kenya. It is a large vast extension of land, placed in the south west of that african country making frontier with Tanzania's Serenguetti, its natural continuation. Massai Mara National Park takes its name from the tribe that dwells this inhospitable area as far as humanity is concerned, the Massai, and from the river that flows from north to south ending in lake Victoria, the river Mara.
The reserve hosts a huge variety of wild fauna (the big five among them) and it is one of the best places for observing the struggle between the species. Humans may not hunt at all, so animals have nothing to fear of from us, so they are free to act the way they are.

Best time for travelling into this area is from July to September, while more than one million beasts make thier way to find better pastures. They must cross the river Mara for this quest and consequently, many animals die, sometimes drowned and sometimes pressed by powerful crocodriles jaws.
