What else could I do but to take out my camera and start shooting
Coober Pedy is an exeptional place. The better part of this town lives underground because the conditions are just too harsh.
Coober Pedy is the Opal capital of the world and therefore many shafts are dug in order to find the precious stones.
To prevent people falling in one of these shafts this warning sign is found frequently around here

Meg Mercx created a group of hovering figures for the the 'Kielzog' exhibition.
The group emerges from the forrest as if they are ghosts.
The work has an eary feeling about it and at the same time something holy, as if the figures are headless priests.
