Graffiti in Asheville’s River Arts District.
In the River District, even the topography is artful. Every wall is part of the mural of graffiti. It’s a photographer’s dream. Shooting photos, I wander into a group of buildings and find a large wooden cross leaning against a warehouse door. It's an artifact, here where the landscape itself is art.
I look up from the cross and realize I’m being watched by a large, brown horse. It stares at me, and then slowly walks away. I wonder if I really saw it, or if some agent of creativity floats through this valley, bringing visions.
