The Trimurti-Sadashiva Statue is the most important sculpture carved on Elephanta. The image is 20 ft in height. The right half-face is the closest to that of Brahma, the creator. The left half-face face on the side is that of a young man, whose anger can engulf the entire world in flames leaving only ashes behind. This is Shiva, the Destroyer. The central face is in deep meditation, praying for preserving humanity. This is Shiva as the preserver Vishnu.
