Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers lot sof things to do and places to go year-round. The lake has things for boaters, swimmers, sunbathers, and fishermen .The desert around the lake has lots to see and do for hikers, photographers, and roadside sightseers. It is also home to animals and plants that have adapted to the desert heat where rain is scarce.

At lake mead marina you can feed the fish and stripers if you buy a bag of popcorn or bread from the gift shop. They almost jump into your hands in a feeding frenzy and so many of them come up all at once.
