The 'Shelf of Tat'
The 'Shelf of Tat' - half of a collection of the most random souvenirs from the holidays of the people in my team at work. Here we have:
Back (Left to Right): Windsor snow globe, German Lederhosen boy, Greek olive-oil soap, Australian dinner bell, Las Vegas pyramid snow 'globe', glow-in-the-dark Virgin Mary, Prague dinner bell
Front (Left to Right): Barcelona snow globe, Malaysian tooth pick holder, Swedish moose, Statue of Liberty, Belgian peeing boy, Welsh snow globe (broken), Romeo and Juliet from Verona

Brussels' Manneken Pis
A statue of a little boy peeing, for some reason Brussel's main tourist attraction. This entry to the 'Shelf of Tat' even comes with its own pee..

Snowglobe from Wales
Where's the snow, you ask? This little guy scored uber points on the 'Shelf of Tat' by being purchased broken - originally a snowglobe, now a Welsh sheep on a dodgy plinth. Nice.

Malaysia tooth pick holder
A tooth pick holder I got in Malaysia for the 'Shelf of Tat' - a favourite because of the actual tooth pick that came with it, and the special deal I got from the vendor: "2 ringit for one, 4 ringit for two" - now there's a bargain I found hard to resist.

Greek Olive-oil soap
From the 'Shelf of Tat' - "Traditional, pure, Greek Olive-oil soap" that I brought back from Athens - comes with a free fridge magnet.

A plastic statue of the Virgin Mary - brought back from the Vatican by a member of my team and enshrined on the 'Shelf of Tat' - she glows in the dark!

Morning view from bed
What a sight to wake up to every morning. My hut, a stone's throw from the beach, afforded perfect views without having to get out of bed.
