As if the bucket of treats was not enough, we were served jam, cream and lemon curd so good we finished it with the spoons after the cakes were gone. Unitea is the new tea service at the Wave Restaurant in Chicago's W Hotel.

My daughter and I earned the dubious distinction of being the first pair to polish off everything in this little boat of sweets at the new Unitea tea service in the Wave Restaurant at Chicago's W Hotel. Hey, it was really good. Maybe even better than the slider.

Not your usual finger food for tea service, the slider proved the best part of the Masculini-tea menu.

The Wave Restaurant in Chicago's W Hotel is just off the hotel bar and lobby, so if you like to sip in silence, this is not your cup of tea. Serene surroundings echoed with shouts from a rowdy crowd of convention attendees getting the party started early one afternoon. Thankfully, their tour bus soon arrived.

Chrome and sofas are a hard-and-soft counterbalance at the Wave Restaurant in Chicago's W Hotel. You can have tea for two, tea for four or tea for many more.
