My wife and I wandered into the market from Las Ramblas, our eyes drawn to the bright colors strewn everywhere in the form of candied fruits; our ears buzzed with the sounds of buyers and sellers haggling in Catalan.
We opted for a small sample, a single pineapple ring. It was sweet, it was delicious, it was exotic and familiar at the same time. Kind of like the market itself.
