Litang sits at 4000m in the Tibetan area of western Sichuan. The site of the annual horse festival is in the distance, with the village in the foreground.

I came across these boys playing cricket in an alley in Ft. Cochi, India. They weren't shy, and all of my efforts to capture a shot at play were thwarted by their enthusiasm. I have a slew at point blank range, and spent a fair bit of time showing them pictures from Africa and elswhere on my journey. As I went on my way, they returned to play and I tried again. Of course, they saw me and came running once more. This last effort is my favourite.

I am an ex-nomad with a half Thai/half South African tooth, and a zig-zaggedy scar from Istanbul. I’ve been shot at by Chinese police siding with the Tibetans, made an emergency landing in Latvia and just missed getting run over by a crazy Russian. When not getting into trouble about the globe, I sell advertising.
