Sorry About your Wall

Sorry About your Wall

I saw this in a wander through the industrial part of the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. It seemed an ironic thing to write on a wall, but who am I to judge.

With all their might

With all their might

These kids were working hard on a snow day to make the biggest snowman ever to grace Prospect Park. After struggling to get it rolling for a bit, they managed to rally and get it going again. Looks like a good time to me!

Sledding Backwards

Sledding Backwards

Kids and adults alike were out enjoying the snow in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. I never saw so many sleds in my life as in the park that day. This little kid was savoring every last bit of their sledding adventure.

A very nice shot of Mr. Eiffel's creation for the city of Paris.

Altar at Frederik's Church

Altar at Frederik's Church

I've seen a lot of church alters in my day (including some of the big ones) and this is one of the most beautiful ones I set eyes on. The colors of stone were fantastic. I think the blue light coming in through from behind the altar adds another dynamic that doesn't often occur.

Frederik's Dome

The amazing dome inside the Frederik's Church in Copenhagen.

Frederik's Church

Frederik's Church

Knowing almost nothing about Copenhagen prior to my visit, it was quite a treat to stumble upon Frederik's Church also known as the Marble Church. It's just a block or so from Amalienborg Palace.

The Royal Guard

The Royal Guard

Standing outside of Marmorkirken, the Royal Guard marched by me midday from Amalienborg Palace on there way to somewhere important. The startling part of it all was their assault rifles they were walking with on their shoulders. I was thinking Copenhagen had to be one of the most peaceful places I'd ever been, why do they need guns? And furthermore, are they loaded?

The crowds at Big Ben

The crowds at Big Ben

No matter day or night, it seems there's always a crowd at the foot of Big Ben. People flock from around the world to get a glimpse of the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye right on the other bank of the Thames. A misnomer, Big Ben is actually the name of the main bell. The tower itself is aptly named "Clock Tower."
