Sunny skies and lack of snow on the ground can be very deceiving on the windy Parliament Hill in Ottawa. This beautiful bright day was still very windy and too cold for comfortable touring around Ottawa. Nevertheless, it was a spectacular visit.

From the old road leading from Stari Grad to Hvar, you can see the bay below you and the island of Brac in the distance to the North. In the Summer of 2004 a massive forest fire destroyed pine forest in this part of the island and left hills bare, exposing centuries old stone walls to our eyes. Here, you can see small plots that local peasants cultivated since the Greek days when the island was first colonized.

Many old fishing houses on numerous Croatian island are undergoing renovations. Over the past decade Croatian coast has been rediscovered as a major tourist destination. This lucky owner got a beachfront property!

City square is alive with activity in the evening. Majority of restaurants have seating on the square and people stroll during warm Summer evenings. In the background is the well lit Cathedral.
