Derek Baron has been a member since 8 April 2008 and goes by dbaron13.

I am torn between the fascinating world of working on cruise ships & continuing my adventures around the globe. Forever hovering between the two, I have begun to realize that this battle does not actually have to be won.

I am equally at home backpacking into Afghanistan across the Khyber Pass as I am wearing a tuxedo and schmoozing with guests at a Captain's cocktail party on board the ship.

My ultimate goal is to survive as a writer so that my travels prove not to have been in vain.
