Boracay Nightlife

Boracay Nightlife

There are many of restaurants and bars set up along the shoreline of White Beach, open until very late. There is a nice atmosphere, as couples, friends and travellers eat, drink, dance and chill out.

Taken from Diniwid Beach, looking over to the southern end of White Beach, as the sun sets in the afternoon.

Shrine at Boracay

Shrine at Boracay

Here's a photo of a little island off the main beach at Boracay. When it's high tide the island is only accessible by swimming over. Note that there is a shrine to the virgin Mary atop one of the rocks on this island.

Lookout Viewpoint

Lookout Viewpoint

I hired a motorbike and discovered a beautiful viewpoint that looked out over the island.

Island Transport

Island Transport

Two contrasting modes of transport on Boracay - a simple log and stick paddle boat and a spider boat for cruises and fishing.

Playful Boracay

Playful Boracay

Taken on beautiful Boracay Island This photo was taken of a very playful boy - I dared getting my camera wet as I walked into the water to shoot him and his active friends.

Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat

You must take a ride out of the town of Siem Reap (about 20 mins) to get to this attraction. Leaving while it's dark, you will find that you're not the only one with this incredible idea to photograph the temple as the sun rises behind it.

Mt Kinabalu National Park

Mt Kinabalu National Park

The clouds have and provided a view of the mountain. Taken from the National Park Head Quarters.

The View From Mt Kinabalu

The View From Mt Kinabalu

Taken at Laban Rata, a place with some dormitories and a restuarant to rest after a day of climbing. It is a hub for the climbers and a chance to come together and relax. This is a view from the deck of the restaurant and supply shop.

Looking Back

Looking Back

Taken from the summit at Lowe's Peak, we see the steep rocky terrain leading back down the mountain.

David Lazar

David Lazar has been a member since 11 November 2007 and goes by dvlazar.

Currently in Australia.

I am a photographer from Brisbane, Australia - and one of the joys for me (outside my musical profession) is travelling and capturing moments of life and beauty through photography.

My favourite styles of photography are portraiture and landscape. Also, in general, I prefer shots which contain an element of 'cannot be captured exactly again'; that is expressive people shots, action shots and any scenario with a unique aspect to it.
