Bella Vineyards and Wine Caves, Sonoma Valley

Bella Vineyards and Wine Caves, Sonoma Valley

Bella Vineyards is a small winery located in Dry Creek Valley. To store their wine, they created a cave inside of one of the vineyards. Today, the cave is not only used for storage, they offer a very nice entertainment area that is complete with an area for wine tasting and a dining room.

Bella doesn’t offer a big selection, but the few different kinds of wine are pretty good.

confusion

We took the back roads on our way from Las Vegas, Nevada to Palm Springs, California and after a few hours of nothing but desert and mountains this confusing, colorful sign appears as if it wanted to wake you up from the hours of nothing.

It is located on Highway 62 at the turn-off to Iron Mountain.

I didn’t find out and I think nobody really knows who added the first hand-painted mileage sign to the telephone pole at this location, but as you can see, people like it and it has become a popular place to add a sign declaring the direction and distance to people’s favorite places.

Shadow Bar, Las Vegas, NV

Sin, sin, sin….city

Who doesn't like the idea of a little sin now and then but doesn’t want to go all the way? The Shadow Bar at Caesar’s Palace offers a nice alternative. Shadow bar features the dancing shadow girls separated from the audience by thin screens that leave little to the imagination.

The entire time I was wondering whether those silhouettes are really taking it all off or not, you never really know for sure, feeds on fantasy…

The drinks are a little more expensive, but the very entertaining flair bartenders and the show behind them are well worth it.
