Roma

Roma

Just outside of our hotel a church makes its impression felt.

See you looking at me...

Italian Hair Salon in Florence. I just caught this out of the corner of my eye as I walked past and had to take the picture.

Florence

Florence

If you go to Italy, go to Florence!! Go the Ufizi, go to the Duomo....go out all night and party because the place is overflowing with life!!

The Vatican

The Vatican

The walk through the museums in the Vatican leading up the Sistine Chapel are probably the most overlooked area in the place, but they are full of great finds.

Downtown Rome

Downtown Rome

Where the Ancient city meets modern transportation, back lit by the light of time....corny I know, but it was a beautiful sunset at the Parthenon and was quite strange to leave the dominion of Julius Caesar and be confronted by a stream of traffic.

Ancient Rome

Ancient Rome

After a rainy day a stroll through ancient Rome is a nice time for reflection.

From ancient to old...

This was taken on a trip to Rome. I went on a tour of the coliseum, amazingly informative and interesting! As the guide was talking I was struck by the beautiful view that we had looking out of one of the arches.

AS happy as we were

AS happy as we were

This big gecko jumped on the table that we were sitting at in the evening. He just came out of nowhere, and was not frightened by us in any way whatsoever. Although he did let a few load barks.

Always have to get one.

Always have to get one.

I am a traveler. I have been on the go since I was a young child. I have spent much of my life in one place or another. I lived in the same house from birth till 18, my parents still live there, it almost burnt down. I have set foot on many countries, but not many at one time. I read "on the road" when I was a junior in college, and have forever since been bit by that mischievous little bug that poisons you, so that you are never satisfied with where you are at, and always miss where...
