The Mighty Cyclone
A lovely relic
In 2007 my boyfriend and I decided to rent a house in Woodstock, Vermont for some R&R. We arrived there at night, and the next morning we spotted this little shack. We soon ventured outside, and the woman that owned the land said years ago her father turned it into a church. I'm not a holy person but I asked to sit inside and I was instantly swallowed up by the stillness of my surroundings.
Not long after I realized this peaceful little creation was just what I needed to have the perfect vacation.
Sometimes it's best to be in silent awe. That's what was happening here at the Grand Canyon. Until one experiences its vastness up close, it's hard to truly comprehend how humbling the experience really is.
Three days into a two week vacation to Vietnam and Cambodia. Sailing around Halong Bay in a "junk boat" with my mister and one other couple. Good food, good drink and not a care in the world.
As my boyfriend and I were hiking the trails of Bryce Canyon this shot was a reminder of how small we all are in the grand scheme of things.
