The bar at the steakhouse....
This steakhouse outside of Tucson, is an old western restaurant, with a fun and casual atmosphere. The menu is simple...steak, chicken, or ribs. There is a bar and on weekends, live country music. All over the restaurant are license plates from across the country, and writing all over the walls.
Every February, thousands of vendors from around the world come to Tucson, Arizona to showcase and sell their gems, minerals, fossils, jewelry, and art. All the motels lining the freeway, and major roads are filled, as is the Tucson Convention Center. You can park and walk through every hotel room and find something new for bargain prices. My favorite are the agate slabs, which are large enough to make a table from, and geode cathedrals (pictured).
This is one of the best hot dogs you'll eat! Messy? YES! Spicy? YES! But, oh so tasty. These hot dogs can be found in several restaurants and streets vendors in Arizona and Mexico, but the best I've found (so far) were at El Guero Canelo in Tucson.
The Sonoran Style Hot Dog is a bacon wrapped hot dog, covered in pinto beans, mustard, mayo, tomatoes, onions, and a jalapeño sauce. All in a soft, oversized bun.

These beauties open for one night, during the summer months, then die. They grow on a cactus that looks like a dead stick.
Once night a year, during the summer months, Tohono Chul opens it's doors free to the public to witness the opening of the Night Blooming Cereus, otherwise known as "The Queen of the Night".
These fragrant flowers bloom from a cactus that looks like a dead stick, for only one night, then they die. On Bloom Night, dozens to hundreds of these flowers bloom and the park opens with food, entertainment, and luminaria lit paths to the flowers.
The Alpine slide is located at the Park City Mountain Resort in Park City, Utah. The slide has 4 tracks of curvy downhill concrete, that you need to take a ski lift up to, to get on. Wheeled toboggans line up and riders can race down the slide! It is a rush and loads of fun!
More beautiful flowers in the Red Butte Garden, and my curious son, Isaac.
