My professional background is in publishing but a recent year away has sabotaged this and made me rethink my career options… can I put ‘professional traveller’ on my CV? I’ve picked up a few more hobbies/obsessions recently including writing, photography, snorkelling/scuba diving and trying to play any musical instrument I can get my hands on.

    I am freelance photographer living in Chicago's north side Ravenswood neighborhood. My preferred method of travel here in the States is by car, sticking primarily to the roads less traveled; believing that the journey is just as important as the destination. I also enjoy rail travel but feel that Amtrak needs vast improvement. Outside of the country I've been to Puerto Rico, Italy, Germany and Ireland. In the future I would love to extensively visit the Mediterranian region, Persia and SE Asia.
