A skier catches some big air on active volcano Mt Ruapehu, 7200ft above sea level. The mountain lies in the middle of New Zealand's otherwise mostly flat North Island. On a clear day, views extend to both coasts - but just as often, you'll be looking out over a soft carpet of white, fluffy clouds. Either way, when you hit a jump here, it feels like you're soaring, however briefly, miles above the surface of the Earth.
