Every year, one of Tucson's oldest barrios holds a "Fiesta Grande". This large party celebrates the Hispanic culture and raises money for the area.

With an East coaster and a Texan visiting me in Oregon, I couldn't help but take them to my favorite park on the West Coast: Redwoods National Park. The giant trees do their best to make you realize you've got nothing on what mother nature can create.

The Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat. I took this photo from the Isla del Pescado, an 'island' that rises from the salt with spectacular views to the distant mountains.
