Young woman creates a prosthesis at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) rehabilitation center in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Afghan carpets are made by hand, entirely of wool and using natural dyes.
The mural is located in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco, at Jones and Ellis Street.
De miners from the Organization for Mine Clearance and Afghan Rehabilitation (OMAR) searched for and removed landmines from a field on the outskirts of Kabul. A metal post designated with a red flag marked “M” indicated a landmine. The first aid tent consisted of a canvas cot under an EZ up canopy. The Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled is the government department for all issues relating to landmine victims, including those that are killed (martyred) in the line of duty.

Founded by the late Jim Boggio in 1991, the Cotati Accordion Festival features three stages, vendors including food, beer and wine and a polka dance party. A bronze statue honoring Boggio, an accordion genius, stands at the corner of La Plaza Park in Cotati, CA, where the festival takes place.
An elderly gentleman wears a conspicuous water melon patterned shirt and a jaunty green cap as he dances a step-close-step “triple step” around the perimeter of the dance floor.
Tom Torriglia, on the accordion, was instrumental in getting the "piano accordion" named as San Francisco's official instrument.
