No way to go fast on steps that are uneven, steep, and seemingly endless...
Jack is a dog in disguise
does this not look like an underwater creature???
just fiddling around with the camera in the forest
This hummingbird was one of about 15 to alight on the feeder in front of the kitchen window three days ago. But- this was the ONLY one I've ever seen just sit contentedly beneath the feeder, getting up to drink every minute or so, and then, only after about 7 trips and 8 minutes (I timed it!), he fluttered off, almost heavier and slower from his relaxation.

My husband attaches his newest gadget to the airplane window with a small rubber plunger, and people from across the row begin to stare.
When you unfold the three panels, it can rest on anything flat, against a tree, in a windowsill, or get affixed to a glass/metal/plastic surface with a small removable rubber suction cup which attaches into the back
remove this little cover to attach the gadget you'd like to charge up

Currently in a cozy home in California, longing for NY food.
I am a newly resigned/retired public school teacher as of 12/07, after 11 years. I am so excited to have lots of freed up time to do the things I enjoy, and am finding there are more and more "things to do" as time passes. I am a wife, friend, middle daughter, food snob, lover of old typewriters/cameras/eyeglasses/furniture, aspiring belly dancer, avid baker, cook, bag creator, Yelp reviewer, and often silly woman. I am a NY transplant to CA 12 years now, and warm ocean water calls me.
