I am Karen Hamlin, a native New Englander who moved south in 2004 and then to the DC area.The Virginia-based writer tripped into adventures around the world with her young daughter accumulating miles and memories. Karen, bodacious and naïve, drops into new situations and takes the reader along for the ride. First prizewinner of the 2003 and 2004 North American Travel Journalist Association's writing competition, she is also a member of Washington Independent Writers.
