Treasure Island, an island created for the 1939 World's Fair, sits just off the Bay Bridge, adjacent to the naturally-formed Yerba Buena Island. While it can be quite windy, both islands offer views of San Francisco and Oakland from its location in the Golden Gate. This is the view west toward downtown San Francisco.
Taken from the top of Bernal Hill in San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood. Unfortunately, the sunset is not always this spectacular, but various parts of the hill offer spectacular views of San Francisco and the East Bay, with the added benefit of fewer people and more dogs than Twin Peaks.
