Hong Kong's skyline is one of the most iconic in Asia. The 88-storey IFC Tower 2 looms large and the rooftop goal posts of the Bank of China Tower beckon a punt from the cross-harbor shores of Kowloon. Evey night at 8pm the buildings come alive as they perform a dazzling choreographed light and sound show.
Every morning in Luang Prabang the abbots from the many monasteries lead the novice monks for their morning alms.

The tomb of Khai Dinh near Hue was built between 1920 and 1931. It is a concrete goliath built into a hillside and is one of my favorite tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty. There are huge dragon banisters and a retinue of elephant, horse, and mandarin statues.
There are several impressive Royal Tombs around Hue from the Nguyen dynasty. This series of three gates is at the tomb of Minh Mang and is the entrance to the Honor Courtyard where animals were sacrificed. It was built between 1841 and 1843.
The Santa Maria is an excellent choice for cruising among the karst peaks of Halong Bay.
The cabin was larger than we expected, with a comfortable bed, ensuite bath, and wood paneling.
