Tai O is a small fishing village a short drive from the city life of Hong Kong. The villagers known as Tankas, number about 4000, and live on houses made on stilts because they are afraid to live on the land. They fish every morning and sell to locals and tourists who visit their village. Knows as the "Venice of Hong Kong," it's a tourist 'must see' if to only contrast the old and new Hong Kong. The locals say they live a long time because they have no worries.
