Photo: The Mermaid Parade

This parade,which takes place at Brooklyn's Coney Island is a festival of letting yourself go. Dress as a merman or mermaid,dress as anything nautical. The parade goes on for quiet a long time. When it is over there is the world famous Cyclone and Wonder Wheel to ride. Don't forget to eat some Nathan's Famous hot dogs and have a few cold beers to celebrate a day of fun and sun.
