This is the church at the Panglao elementary school. This is in the Philippines in the Visayas. There were swarms of teenagers walking around with wooden shotguns. They have to keep these on them at all times as a form of gun handling training. It was interesting and slightly unsettling.
Heehee those boys are probably students on ROTC training. I guess for non-Filipinos, the sight of guns all around (we've got lots of armed security guards, no?) can be disconcerting.
