Photo: Take the Tika

A neighborhood priest in Kathmandu, Nepal offers the Tika during the festival Dasain. It is a 15 day festivals celebrated by almost all citizens of Nepal. When we asked what it was, we were told it could be compared to our Christmas. Kids would ask for a blessing from their elders and would also receive some spending money to buy a gift for themselves. For the village kids, this was an extravagant gift.
