From atop Mt. Yudal, a statue of the Korean admiral and hero Yi Sunsin seems to stand guard over the coastal city of Mokpo. A comparatively small city of 250,000, Mokpo serves as the primary gateway to the many islands of Korea's Dadohae National Maritime Park.
