Photo: A hidden gem

I've driven through Gearhart so many times on my way to Cannon Beach, but this time we stopped there thanks to the guide book that my friend picked up. Famous chef James Beard was born in Gearhart, and there we found a culinary gem, the Pacific Way Cafe and Bakery. If you are visiting this part of the Oregon coast, stop by for some of their delicious soups and sandwiches during lunch hour or a gourmet supper.
