Towering more than 12,000 feet above sea level, the San Francisco Peaks in northern Arizona can be seen from quite a distance. They contrast with the seemingly endless, flat, Colorado Plateau. Although the bright March days were welcomed by my dreary New England eyes, it was the feathery clouds that made the scenery more interesting.
