Mt. Erebus, Ross Island, Antarctica

This is a photo of Mount Erebus that I took while working on Ross Island in Antarctica as a General Assistant for the US Antarctic Program during the 2007/2008 Summer season. Mt. Erebus is the southernmost active volcano on earth and I snapped the photo while out measuring the thickness of the sea ice that covers the Ross Sea.
