From the old road leading from Stari Grad to Hvar, you can see the bay below you and the island of Brac in the distance to the North. In the Summer of 2004 a massive forest fire destroyed pine forest in this part of the island and left hills bare, exposing centuries old stone walls to our eyes. Here, you can see small plots that local peasants cultivated since the Greek days when the island was first colonized.
