With 47 recorded eruptions, Mt Mayon is an active volcanoe which stands proud in South Luzon. It is a perfectly shaped volcano - one can say its the Philippine equivalent of Mount Fuji in Japan. The volcano is situated 15 kilometres northwest of Legazpi City.
