Photo: Sticky Rice Sticks

A favorite in the small towns of Thailand is Sticky Rice. These had Banana and Mango in them. I was in a small village in the province of Surat Thani, Thailand where I stayed with a family and lived like a Thai for 4 days. It was a simple life, up at 4am to farm the rubber trees, then start laundry, cook the food for the day, and of course, nap. I was a village "hit" as many stopped by to see the "Farrang" (westerner) because they had not seen one up so close. It was an enjoyable experience.
