About this place:
Tumacacori was built in the 1700s but was eventually abandoned in the 1800s after constant Apache raids. It is now in a state of arrested decay and an incredibly photogenic way to spend an afternoon. Twice a year, in October and in May, Tumacacori hosts High Mass, which is a singing Mass. The Mission is beautifully lit with thousands of candles, a sight not to be missed.
