You must take a ride out of the town of Siem Reap (about 20 mins) to get to this attraction. Leaving while it's dark, you will find that you're not the only one with this incredible idea to photograph the temple as the sun rises behind it.
Angkor Wat is the name of the largest and most impressive temple in Angkor, Cambodia. This is the largest and best preserved temple at the Angkor site, and was built in the early 12th centuary as the King's state temple and capital city. To visit, you must stay in the town of Siem Reap, and organise a driver to take you to the temple (and there are many others of course, and it will take days to see them all). You can also consider hiring a bicycle to get there from the town of Siem Reap.
