Palm trees and powerlines dominate the Los Angeles sunset.

About this place:

For the most part, the sky in Los Angeles is blue, blue, blue. Some days, however, the clouds come along to play - casting light and shadow in new and exciting roles.

I know, I know... Los Angeles is known for its smog, its haze, its brown sludge coating. And it is like that - some of the time. The summer heat is known to bake the CO2 into the basin and the valley, leaving a skyline that is less than desirable. The other three seasons, however, are magic! Fall and winter most especially. The warm temperate days and cool nights make the city sparkle and shine. The landscape and skyline are especially glorious if it happens to rain - which never lasts long, but opens the sky up to the most wonderful chiaroscuro creations that light can create.
