Art Deco had it's heydey in the time period between the two World Wars, from roughly 1920 to 1939. It's no wonder then that the streets of Los Angeles are peppered with stunning examples of this architectural style. During this time the city was transforming from a sleepy farming community to a bustling metropolis - Hollywood having positioned the whole city on the cutting edge of fashion and style. Many beautiful examples remain: The Griffith Observatory, The Wiltern Theatre, The Sunset Tower, The Eastern Columbia Building, The Georgian Hotel, and many more!
