A derelict gas station in Overtornea, Sweden. The price on the pump was set at 1ore per liter (about 0.5c per gallon), so it must have been out of commission for a while.
A quaint little town in northern Sweden, Overtornea doesn't have much to offer in the way of tourist attractions. But if you have time to linger, you'll experience endless summer nights, cute little islands and good fishing in the shallow Torne River, and abandoned buildings that seem to take on a new life as they are slowly reclaimed by nature. You are unlikely to visit in winter - but if you do, pack thick fur coats, and watch out for aurora borealis on clear nights.
