Warm, still evening at Oarsman's Bay, in Fiji's remote Yasawa Islands.
Oarsman's Bay is a pristine white beach on the island of Nacula, near the top of Fiji's Yasawa Islands. It's a four hour ferry trip from Nadi, but it doesn't disappoint: The beach is stunning, with a reef on either side, and swimming at both high and low tide. Private bures are dotted along the beach and there are plenty hammocks for afternoon naps - or to pass out in after dinner and kava. The Blue Lagoon is nearby, and there are plenty of other activities on offer, including visits to the local village, underwater cave tours and impromptu volleyball games with the staff. But with the gorgeous beach, great snorkeling and regular meals on hand, you're unlikely to want to go far.
