About this place:
On the small island of Egmont Key, in the mouth of Tampa Bay, sits Fort Dade. In 1858, Egmont Key was used by the U.S. Army to detain Seminole prisoners at the end of the third Seminole War, until they could be transported to the Arkansas Territory.
