An Angle on Abe

An Angle on Abe

Many ways to see him. Tortured, compromising, principled, strong.

The guard tells me two rich kids from George Washington University climbed onto each shoulder of the Abe's statue. One of them was dressed as Superman, the other as Batman. The guard called the cops. "Don't they know what he represents? There's a sign right there that says 'Quiet, respect' and these bozos want a snapshot to show their girlfriends," says the guard. He's still pissed off. "Man, don't they know what he represents?" There are many angles to Lincoln, some a little blurry; but the statue is not to be sat on, definitely.
