The palm trees and hanging Spanish moss assure me I am still in central Florida, a fact that comes into question as I approach the bustling downtown. As I look up at the balconies adorning many of the two story buildings I am reminded of the French Quarter in New Orleans.The diversity of Mount Dora’s shops range from import ceramics to cigars, from handcrafted wine to original art, which makes shopping in Mount Dora a pleasurable adventure. The many Antique Shops are also a major draw for visitors.
