About this place:

Moved to its current location on HC Andersens Boulevard in January 2000, the DDC is a relatively compact museum dedicated contemporary Danish design. The rotating exhibits span industrial design, graphic design, and artistic displays, all set in a stylish building in central Copenhagen.

    The Dansk Design Center was a great stop for Modern Design freaks like me and luckily - open on Mondays. It is a smallish museum - more like a gallery. There was a lighting design show and an odd "acoustic furniture" exhibit on display when I was there in 11/2007. But their permanent "Design Icons" display in the basement was a great trip down memory lane including the original Macintosh Computer, NikonF Camera, Selectric Typewriter and more. The gift shop had about 100 books I wanted to buy and the cashier gave great directions and dining suggestions.
